I have drawn all my life. When I was a pre-teen, I liked to do paint-by-numbers. My father suggested that I do original paintings and that is how I started. I took painting lessons in junior high school and all the art classes I could at high school, in Brookville, Ohio. I then went to Manchester College in Indiana fora B.S. degree in Art Education. A few years later, I went to Wright State University and got my B.F.A. in drawing and painting.
I have had my artwork on display at the Richmond Art Museum, Dayton Society of Painters & Sculptors, Preble County Fine Arts Center, Miamisburg Art Guild, Manchester College, Wright State University, Brookville Community Theater and the Brookville Historical Society.
In 2011, I won Best of Show at the Preble County Fine Arts Center's Sacred Spaces art show. At the 113th juried show at the Richmond Art Museum, I won the Anne Belle Henthorne, Merit Award.
